Complicated

What should I say? Everything is a mess! Somehow all of the sudden I have so many small tasks at hand that I actually progress nowhere! On a positive side my job search is in full throttle now. On negative side - tomorrow I have to go to surgery to remove one of my tooth.
Ok, enough time wasted - I have to get back to do my things.

Update for comment: don't worry Mira! We like you even if your T-shirts will look like those poor girl's:

  1. hey Leho,

I hope your date with the dentist has gone well and it did not leave a bad taste in your mouth! Just try to look at the good side of things: if the tooth fairy prooves to be generous, you may be able to get on well for quite a long time without actually starting to work by getting rid of a tooth now and then! :)

I am equally worried about our one and only friend (alias teagirl). Strangely enough, after posting the "Not all of those who wanders are lost" she disappeared... I wonder why. Has she run off with the Dalai Lama? Or is she just gone wandering? I think we must do something to get her back, but I'm not sure what would be the best method to do so... Calling the FBI? Letting the search dogs loose? Or perhaps just leaving a piece of chocolate on the doorstep?
Either way, we must do something and fast! :)

Apart from my worries concerning you guys, I have quite a lot of small news, e.g. about the first dutch classes, the first salary, renting a flat, etc... But it's late again, so I won't be able to tell you more just now...
Tomorrow I will check out a potential flat and have dinner with workmates, on Friday I may go to a party, so I am not sure when I can turn up next time with the new post. I hope it will be soon though.

I hope it's going well for both of you!
    Best,
    G.
ps: what's up with the au pair job? (this question is mainly for Mira but may be fo Leho too - he did not specified what he means by "full throttle")

  2. hi guys,

it's very nice of you to worry. It touched my heart:)
I'm fine but I've been a little busy because I was working in my friend's pub. It's not big money but more than nothing. So I could buy some new clothes which I desperately needed to do. I'm sure you know that feeling when you open your wardrobes and cannot find anyting proper to wear.. But I'm okey now:)
And I'm trying to spend less time in front of the computer and using my valuable time reading, learning to cook, etc and doing some sports. I really enjoy Zumba dance, it's a bit difficult but very good for my body shape:) I've been also doing some yoga and belly dance. The latter isn't really my type of sport but it was fun to try out.

The au pair job didn't work out that's why I didn't write about it. They sent me a nice e-mail saying they found somebody else...
But I've been talking to a Hungarian girl who lives in Amsterdam working as an au pair. I found her advertisement on expatriates.com, she was looking for some part-time job(ironing, cleaning)..so long story short we started to chat on msn and she encoureged me to write an advertisement too because she's getting good job offers. She told me to do it either right before going to Amsterdam or when I'm already there so I could give a Dutch phone number to the people who are interested.
    So that's my situation now.
But I'm curious about your news of the Dutch class and the flats. So don't forget to write a nice, long post;)
And my last question would be, are we still on the moving together thing? Because we haven't been talking for more than a week. I disappeared as well but I don't know how to prepare for the next month. My suitcases are already packed:)
So don't fordet about the girl with the butterfly tattoo :)

    Mira

Ps.: I hope the meeting with the dentist went well Leho!

Ps2: I must tell you guys, that during my shopings this week, I was lucky enough to hold the new IPhone 4 in my hands for some minutes in one of the phone shops. It is a masterpiece, unfortunatly it's f***ing expensive, but I want one..even if I have to sell my brother's belongings.

  3. Look, look, look - butterfly flew back! :) I was afraid she flew to south with coming fall.

    This is zumba?
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RlRPHHKJt7Q
Funny! :) I told u Mira that u should go to modern dance. Btw, if u ever going to learn lap dance then feel free to show me your skills. :) But you are more than welcome to show belly zumba and whatever too. If not else then good laugh would make us feel better and we would love u even more. :)

Well, the dentist experience was... brr... They twisted and pulled and drilled my tooth an hour and 10 minutes (planned was 40 min max) and made 5 painkiller injections (normal was 2 i guess). Finaly they got all pieces out and asked 134 EUR. I'm yet to steal this money from somewhere.

  4. hi guys,

again just a quick one as i am tired as hell... we had some sort of party on Friday, played football yesterday and today, and I have been to the gym in the afternoon: now i think i will go to bed so soon i have never gone since i was 6...

I have more news though. The most important being that I am still an Optiver employee, so I survived the probation period and can plan for a whole year now. The first step would be to rent a flat as soon as possible - Reka and Laci seems to be quite happy with me so far and don't want to kick me out, but I still feel the sooner I find a cool flat the better. No offence, but we are all grown up people who require some private space...

But what is a cool flat then? It's a tough question to answer. Currently I am looking for a flat which has - apart from the living room - at least one separate bedroom. A smaller would be inconvenient, a larger hardly affordable - unless someone pays his/her share from the rent too. But as we do not know for sure if either of you will come to this flat - Mira may end up as au pair in the house of a Dutch family, and I understand Leho is looking everywhere from Norway to Finland, from Amsterdam to Wales, and quite frankly, he is damn right to do so - I am not thinking of renting a palace.

So I am to rent a flat with at least one separate bedroom. If you turn up you will always have roof over your head, but the more i think about it the more i think this first flat will not be a place where we, the three of us, can live together for a longer period. I am not sure what's gonna happen, but I think we either have to find a bigger flat together (which would not be a big problem if all of us is working) or split up. But, again, all depends on how many of you are coming.

BTW, I have already seen a flat, it was pretty, but the good impression was ruined when I saw the bedroom and in it - the shower. I do not know which sick bastard came up with the idea of having a hole in the wall (like a hole for a built-in cupboard) and putting the shower there without any separating walls (apart from the shower's glass wall),but may he be cursed for the rest of his life for not having either common sense or proper taste.

Oh, I feel it's a good closing sentence before going to bed... More next time, I'm off!
    Have a good one,
    G.

  5. hey hey hey,

I'm planning to write a post tomorrow (I haven't decided the subject yet) because I feel like the blog isn't getting enough news. But I hope you will write something too telling more than you do in your comments.

I just wanted to say that if I can, if it's okey for Gábor, I'm definitaly going. I'm looking for an au pair job, but as the former one would have been, I'm searching for live-out au pair positions so I'll have something for sure when I get there and I'd be more confident to look for other jobs. I hope this makes sense.

But I have to go now.. Harry Potter is waiting for me. Have you seen the trailer of the new film? I cannot wait for it. I haven't been this exited for a film since Avatar. In the meantime I keep reading the books..but I'll write about it later...
