Going better and worse

Last Friday I went in Tallinn. Saturday I went to beach (sea, hungarians, SEA!) with friends although I felt bad (later it came out I had fever 38.5C) and I wasn't able to participate much. Last 2 days, while weather is great, I've been inside and relaxing as my neck's lymphs are tumid (at least i think those are lymphs). Hopefully those goes away soon and there are no big problem. Anyway, it's been time to observe, think and making conclusions.

And I'm decided - I want to go abroad now and work a little (thanks for Bruce Willis who answered my questions, check it out!). I can come back to Estonia to study after I have earned some money.

Currently I'm working on some articles to earn some pennys. And that's basically it.
I'm thinking about you every day and hopefully see ya soon! :)

  1. I have to be 21 to see that page:(
How am I going to know what Bruce Willis said? :)

Good to hear from you Leho! I hope you get better soon. What kind of articles are you working on? My aunt, who has got some friends in the local newspaper, told me to write about my experiences in Denmark maybe I can get some money from it, and a new point to my CV: journalist.

The time I'll be 25 I think I can add almost every kind of jobs to my CV.

  2. hey guys,

sorry, I planned to write earlier but I just could not find the time: a good friend of mine is going to get married on Saturday. He is a smart one as the 3rd July is his birthday as well, so there will be no danger of him forgeting the anniversaries... The worst case scenario is the following:
"wife: Oh, you bastard you have forgotten our anniversary!
husband: What could I have done after you forgetting my birthday?"
    pretty samrt, init?
anyway, I've got carried away. The reason I am mentioning this wedding at all is that I spent long hours working/laughing together with another friend as we are preparing an 8-10 pages long newspaper for the event. This will be full of articles regarding the nice memories of the young couple... or to be precise, with fake memories we made up about the young couple. The paper will have the usual parts of an avarage newspaper: sports and economics pages, gossips, police announcements, jokes, crosswords, horoscope, dating coloumn, etc, and it will be full of pictures of the young couple meeting world famous celebrities. I do not know whether my groom-friend will like it or not but we will be laughing hard, that's for sure! :)
(I was laughing hard too when I checked out Bruce Willis - thanks for sharing it with us Leho!:)

But I see you guys are not wasting your time either and want to compete for the Pulitzer-prize too. If you have anything finished just feel free to send it over, I'd love to have a look! Or you are writing in elfish, mr elf? Mira, by the time you will be 25 your CV will be at least a thousand pages long... I can't wait to see it though, if you ever want to publish it spare me a copy pls! :)
By the way I cannot tell you how right you were regarding Pöttyös Guru! It's by far the best thing I've ever had; if I am ever going to have a tattoo it will definitely read "Pöttyös Guru"! Speaking about tattoos - how is yours?

Regarding the local newspaper - If I were you I'd write about the Danish experience and I'd add some details about Amsterdam, tattoos, bushes... I am absolutely sure your family would find it a compelling read. And so would we! :)

OK, I will post what I have so far and continue with some work related news.

  3. Mira, try to cheat your way to see Bruce. Maybe u can lie your age and add some years. Willis is smart guy and he can give good answers for your questions too. :D

And definetly u should write to newspaper if u can! That's good practice even if story is not accepted. Also it helps you to remember and analyse etc. And of course u can say good word (i believe) about NH and folkschool concept in public. Btw, U can use a great material if u don't know what to write about. I hope that u remember that at the beginning of the stay we got Anna Kunt's essey called "Love above books" or something, where this hungu girlrote about hojskole concept and her experiences.

Mire, your evergrowing CV will be the reason why internet will full one day - it will be just so big. It expands as rapidly as universe. :D

Gabor, yes, ur friend is clever, at least more than you. at the same time - most are. :P
U should have watched movie called Hangover, get inspiration and do something similar. :) Then newspaper would have been'bout faded, not fake memories. :)

Yes,I'm writing in estonian, unfortunately. I'm writingsome review to magazine [digi] where i worked 3 years.

Speaking of tattoos - i made a second plan what to do. but before i can do any of those 2 we need to go to dublin or somewhere and earn some resourses.

  4. Ahoy

I have seen Hangover but unfortunately we had no chance to arrange something similar. It’s not that we would have been afraid of sitting in a car and driving to Vegas, we would have enjoyed the trip; it’s more because of the young couple whose marriage we are going to witness. The guy is our friend and he is somewhat conservative: a great and intelligent pal but not a good drinker, and I am not sure how he would have reacted to the honorable actress who should have been present. To tell you the truth I would have expected him to give a moral lecture to the “confused young soul”, instead of finding joy in what the Lord has blessed her with. But maybe I’m wrong. Besides, the bride prohibited him to attend any kind of cultural event of this sort.

Anyway, we would not have had to rely on the above mentioned movie to arrange a stag-party (or what it’s called), as we have attended a few in the last years and actually one is being organized for an other friend for Saturday with so good programs I am absolutely sorry I cannot be there. But the wedding should be fun as well, fingers crossed.

And now some important news regarding looking for jobs. Unfortunately not all went as well as planned and I did not screw up the Amsterdam opportunity, they found the test I completed particularly good, we also spent 60 minutes on the phone talking with the HR girl and my potential manager, and – although it seemed a hour I will never get back – they decided to invite me to Amsterdam for a 3,5 hours-long personal interview. It’s not exactly great news for the Dublin plans as the interview will be in 2weeks time on 16th July - meaning I won’t go to Dublin looking for anything in the next 2-3 weeks. (Not that any of the Irish firms would have got back to me regarding my application…) On the other hand it’s a great-great opportunity with a decent/challenging/exciting position at a firm famous for its friendly atmosphere. Needless to say for you it would mean that in the unlikely case I succeed you are more than welcome to join me in Amsterdam.

What about you guys? How are things? I know Mira’s future is hugely dependent on the Roskilde news, and I feel it would be reasonable for her to wait to see how it works out – although in the meantime she could be looking for open positions everywhere between New York and Sydney. And what about you, Leho? And what about the nice polish girls I have not heard of for almost two weeks now?

  5. By the way I have seen the Illusionist the other day - I am still in love with Paul Giamatti but I did not really like Edward Norton, i think he could have acted better. Not a bad film though, kind og avarage. Also seen parts of Mr.Brooks - I really do love that movie, will watch it from the begining till the end soon. did you have any luck with movies recently?
